Мудра

Мудра (санскр. मुद्रा, mudrā ^IAST, «печать, знак»):

1. Жест пальцев руки, имеющий сакральное значение. В индуистской иконографии все божества изображаются с определенными мудрами. Символика мудры сыграла большую роль в развитии индийского классического танца. Мудра используется в тантрических ритуалах: здесь это сложная фигура, символизирующая «тело» божества; как таковая она обычно сочетается с мантрой.
2. Элемент тантрического ритуала Панчамакара.
3. Особое положение тела в хатха-йоге, помогающее контролировать внутреннюю энергию.
4. В буддийском тантризме — женщина как ритуальный партнер.
